I hope u had a super special Easter Weekend? Looking forward to hearing all about it on your next visit.
Please if you can let me know of any changes of contact information, id really appreciate it, I often get undelivered emails, or unsuccessful sms deliveries, so if you wish to receive my emails always make sure I have the correct information.

I still have a few people unsure of my working new hours so check them out, please note that if you used to visit me after 18h00, I am not no longer going to be able to help you. I apologise for any inconvenience but it’s for personal matters that I will no longer be taking clients at 18h00.

With the change of Season into Winter, the air does start to dry out, so make sure you increase your skins hydration levels, especially at night. Opt for a richer, more hydrating night cream or a treatment to help nourish, and feed your skins. Also don’t forget sunburn and sun damage will still occur during winter. If you are not happy with the condition of your skin, or feel you need a little extra, please chat to me and let me help you and your skin.

For those of you using the Annique Range, please note that the products annual price increase will take effect from 1 April 2013. I have attached both the current pricelist, valid until 31 March 2013, and the new one, effective from 1 April 2013 for you to view and compare.

I’m really sorry that I haven’t had any Treatment Specials, but my days are so busy already, that I’m scared if I offer specials I won’t be able to help those that want to book for them.

I will be running an in house Special of an extra 10% discount on your Annique Rooibos Purchase(over the value of R300) in March 2013, not applicable to Stock sale items. So make sure you get your orders in soon.

Also I had a great question the other day:

How much does a starter kit(cleanser, day and night cream and freshner) cost and how long will it last?

Well a cleanser from Annique is R159 for 150ml, this should last you 4-8 weeks

A day cream is R259 for the dry/mature day cream 50ml and should last 4-6 weeks

A day cream for normal/combination skins is R179, 50ml and also should last 4-6 weeks

A night cream for dry/mature skins is R199 and for normal combination R179 and should last 4-6 weeks

The Freshners are R139 or R129 is you have a more oily skin type

So for a dry/mature skin type a starter pack should cost you R756. In March you will receive a 10% discount so will cost you R680. For a 4-6 weeks life will cost you R24 – R16 per day on your beauty products.

If you have a normal/combination skin type the same pack will cost you R646 with your 10% discount will cost you R581. For a 4-6 weeks life the cost per day is R20.5 – R13.8 for your skincare products.

Hey Beauty Spotters

So its already February and January was a great month, thank you to everyone for all your support and understanding both personally and professionally. I appreciate you and your visits to my salon. Wow so I havent really had a chance to impletement my new working hours, just been so hectic trying to fit everyone in. But im sure as time goes by I will get there, so please understand when I cant help after hours any longer.

Well as we all know February is the month of love, and I do hope and wish this for all my friends and clients. Relationships are hard work but also love is not meant to be a chore, so go out and find the love you deserve.

With all this heat that we’ve been having I do trust that you are taking hydrating to new levels. Not only with water but creams and moisturisers too, our skins(our biggest organ) also dries out and needs hydrating, and cooling down. Some great cooling tips are:

  • Make a freshner with green tea and cool water(in a spray bottle) and spritz over one’s face during the day. Green tea is a great anti-oxidant so good for the skin too.
  • A cool towel over the neck, wrists and (or if you lucky) feet to keep temperatures down
  • Drink Cool but not freezing cold water. Remember our kidneys also take strain when temperatures of liquids are too hot or too cold, so remember cool is healthier.
  • Eat small meals and eat more often. The larger the meal, the more metabolic heat your body creates breaking down the food. Avoid foods that are high in protein, which increase metabolic heat
  • Wear lightweight, light-coloured cotton clothes. Heat is trapped by synthetic fibres, but cotton absorbs perspiration and its evaporation causes you to feel cooler. The light colours reflect the sun’s radiation

And PLEASE remember to be using your sunblock as often as possible during the day, perspiration causes the product to wipe off so reapplication is a must.

I trust you are well and had a good weekend? I’m so sad February is here as summer is going by so fast. Thank you to everyone who supported me during February I had a tough month personally but I’m all good and better now.

 

I’m starting to become a little more adventurous with regards to nail art, and for R20 extra you can have diamante’s, silver or blue stripes, glitter or stickers added to your gel treatments and even to your toes during Pedicures! I also offer hand exfoliation and massage for R30 and foot exfoliation and massage for R40. This can be added to any treatment-Facials, manicures(if you just need a scrub and massage for your feet) Pedicures(if you need a scrub and massage for your hands), massage. So don’t forget to add this to your next treatment as something specials.

 

I’ve attached this month’s newsletter and important dates for you have a look at, as well as some information regarding the Annique Rooibos Man products in case you feel like spoiling that special man in your life. Have some amazing specials on these products in the Beaute too.

 

I’m also going to be offering Annique Lifestyle Shakes to you when you visit, so that you can taste how wonderful they are. I will be giving out chocolate flavour samples for you to taste in your treatments. The Lifestyle Shakes area a meal replacement and offer great nutritional and health benefits. They are Gluten and Sugar free, and like all Annique Products, Halaal. If you wish to lose weight this is a great product as its high in anit-oxidants, vitamin B-complex to speed up metabolism and increase energy levels. Most important they are easy and quick so a great healthy alternative. Comes in 6 variants – Chocolate, Strawberry, Café late, Vanilla and Chai. There is also a Choc-mint Variant.

 

I’ve also done some calculations for the Shakes and a Shake packet will cost you R259 for 500g. this offers you +- 30 meal replacements. So if you break it down each meal costs you R8.60, a great affordable meal. This can be added to Plain yoghurt, full cream milk, or rooibos tea and provides enough nourishment for a meal.

Happy new year to all Beauty Spotters

I hope 2013 has started off great and that you, if you were on leave had a wonderful time, and if you worked that the days went quickly and business was good?

So this year is a year of good things to come, I have set some new year’s resolutions and that I will be putting them up on my notice board as a daily reminder to keep at them. One of them is cut down my hours a little bit, so that I can concentrate on filling the days better and also allowing some off time for me.

So please make sure that you take note of my new working hours:

Monday: 09h00-18h00

Tuesdays: CLOSED

Wednesday: 12h00-18h00

Thursday: 09h00-18h00

Friday: 11h00-17h00

Saturday: 08h00-14h00 (every 3rd Saturday CLOSED)

These dates and times are effective from 10 January 2013

My Saturdays that I will be closed until end February are:

So please make sure you book in advance as my time is now very limited.

As most of you saw in December I’m now starting to stock more Annique Products and display the in the Salon, I will try and stock the most popularly sold/bought items and some great gifting ideas too. This will allow you to buy when you visit me, so if you are keen to try this amazing product that’s unique to South African Skin, then Annique is now at your fingertips.

I do still offer a sample kit for Annique Beginners and will display some sample products too so make sure to have a look next time you visit. They are R5 each and contain roughly 2-3 days application for you to experience and try Annique out.

I have been noticing that my news doesn’t always get passed on and im sure not everyone has time to read my actual newsletter. So im not going to be attaching a separate newsletter from now and I will just be doing the news within the email, this means you wont miss out on anything or get left behind :)

Im sorry that this email comes a few days after the month has already begun, but ive been so busy that I just havent had a moment to get to it. Please take note this month’s email has a few very important notes that will be implemented on the 1st November 2012(new treatment prices) and January 2013(new working hours).

There will be some changes to my treatment menu and a price increase to facials, nails and some waxing treatments. I will also NO longer be offering Full body massages or Reflexology from November 2012.

From January 2013 im going to be cutting down my hours, as im just not getting time to do the personal activities I love, and my poor thumbs have been taking a lot of strain resently and I need to give them a break every so often too. I hope you can understand and these new times will be available in my new pricelist and will be spoken about in your forthcoming treatments too.

Please remember the following Days are the days that I AM CLOSED during October, November and December

  • Sat 3 November
  • Sat 10 November I will be closing at 12h30
  • Friday 23 November

I am already nearly fully booked for my Saturday’s up to 15 December so please start planning your appointments so that you are not disappointed.

Then if you’ve been in the Salon or received the new Annique Beaute booklet you will see that Annique have a whole new range for Dry, Dehydrated and Aging skin types. Its Called Lucid and has been specifically formulated to help these conditions.

The New Lucid range will be replacing old and existing products which will be discontinued from 1 October. Maybe they will have a few last minute sale on old stock but I will let you know if they do.

Please take note of the following changes:

  • The Cleanser For Dry Skin(200ml) will be replaced with the NEW Calming Cleansing Crème(150ml)
  • Refining Skin Scrub will be replaced with the NEW Perfecting Cream Exfoliator
  • Moisture Masque will be replaced with the NEW Silky Skin Replenisher which is a new emergency overnight treatment
  • Moisturiser for Dry skin will be replaced with the NEW Ultimate Moisturiser for Dry Skin
  • Hydra3 Will be replaced with New Ultra Hydrating Moisture Lotion
  • Crème de Nuit still exists but belongs to the Forever Young range for anti-aging.
  • NEW Optimal Night Renewal is a new night cream
  • pH Balancing Freshner will be replaced by the NEW HydraRestore Freshner

There is Also the ResQue Cream upsize(60ml) on Special this month, it’s a pink tube in support of Breast Cancer Awareness and R5 of every tube sold goes to the CANSA foundation. So buy yours this month.

And please don’t forget to ask for an updated treatment and annique pricelist whenever you are in the salon and need a new one

Good day Everyone

So I’m happy that the weather is warmer. I think spring has sprung and summer is here! But lets hope for a few cool days in between the sweltering hot ones! I hope you are well?

So yay! Im on time this month with the specials and well priced Annique products booklet – so I hope you make the most of them. I am quite busy already for September and I hope you’ve made your appointments, as not to be disappointed.

Hey everyone

So 1 more month of it officially being Winter. Im so excited about Spring and I can already see a few blossoms on the trees, the Jasmin is already in bloom at the salon, and the sky has started to change colour. I am apologising now for my hayfever that will be with me for the next few months, lol and I hope the rains come soon so I wont battle for too long.

I hope you are all well and things are good in your life?

I have been super busy as most of you know and July I had a really good month, so thank you for all your support and kindness, I really do value it.

As of Monday 30 July there are 21 weeks until my salon will close for December break and I’ve already been asked about my dates and closing times for December. I have done my diary up until this closing date, so please take a look below as to all my off days and such until December.

I will be closed on these days and half days as such:

Please im sorry that there are a few Fridays I will be closed, I have a wedding and my anniversary for which I will be away, so I do apologise for any inconvenience.

I’ve had a few requests on makeup application so I’ve done a tips and ideas on eyeliner application, and will focus on a few makeup techniques every month, I do help it helps and just remember makeup is about practice and experimenting. So try and try and try again until you find what works for you.

Yes I do not do makeup application in the salon but I will try my best and give you advice if you need it, so don’t be scared to ask.
For those that have been given gift vouchers or are looking to buy for a friend, please remember that are valid for 3 Months and after that will depreciate by 50% every month after that. I do only redeem vouchers Monday to Friday, Reason being-Saturdays are always super busy and I need to accommodate my regulars, but I am open Monday to Thursday until 19h00 so that I can try accommodate vouchers and working people.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy Womens day! We are very lucky to have a day dedicated to us and im proud to be a Woman in these times. So enjoy it, have a good day off and hope you are appreciated wherever you celebrate it
