My name is Rowena and I’m the owner, therapist and manager of Ro’s Beauty Spot Home Based Salon in Benoni.
I started my career in 2005, when I enrolled at Camelot Health and Skincare College. I completed my two year diploma with distiction and was top overall student on the East Rand Campus.
I thus have completed my SAASHP (South African) and CIDESCO (International) qualification in Facials, waxing, massage (Swedish and Aromatherapy), manicures, pedicures, body therapy which includes slimming and firming treatments, diet and nutrition, reflexology (first year) and Bio Sculpture Gel nails.
I completed my 400 practical hours at Beautywithin Skincare Salon, the college and at a local retirement village.
I then joined the Beautywithin team for a short duration, where I went onto to become head therapist at Annique Skincare Clinic in Kempton Park. I stayed at Annique for 18 months where I went on to manage and grow one of the Placecol Beauty Centre’s for a year and lastly but not least I recently coordinated a Virgin Spa Salon in Sandton.
In the three years I’ve been working as a therapist and manager I’ve gained huge amounts of experience and appreciation for the industry. I have enjoyed being a therapist and that’s why I feel I’m ready to have my own salon. I’m a strong, caring therapist who always has the customer’s (YOU) best interests at heart. I’m passionate, friendly and self-motivated to do excellent treatments and give excellent service.
Ro’s Beauty Spot Salon – based in Benoni – is homely, small and comfortable, but private and clean.
