How wonderful has our weather been. I really hope you all had rain on Saturday evening and that we will still get a lots more days of rain. I trust you are well and I’m sorry I’m sending this email so late into the month, last week was a tad of a nightmare for me.

The salon has started to get busy now again and I’m so happy to have my business back.

Thank you for your unwavering support and love for my little boy. I do hope you don’t mind seeing him every time you come to the salon, he needs the social skills and development.

It’s now getting to that time again where December starts getting busy. Please start looking at your calendars and lets book your December appointments soon.

I will be closing Tuesday 20 December 2016 so this will be my last working day for the year.

I will be changing a few days at the end of the month, my parents are going away and my nanny is not available to help look after Declan, so I will be messaging those I’ve booked appointments with to just shuffle around to other days.

Wow spring is definitely in the air, looks like we might even skip spring all together and jump straight into summer.

It’s now time to defuzz and get those toes out into open. Gel pedicures are R250 for September and normal pedicures with paraffin dip are R200. Full leg waxes are R140.

Time to get new foot files: Perspex ones are available at R50 each and work wonders wet and dry on the heels and area of hard skin.

I’m also experimenting with the SurgiHeel hard skin remover treatment and will hopefully be adding it to my treatments very soon.

Body sponges are on offer this month for R35 so make sure you get one soon

Please remember I’m only working until 16;30 in the weeks and Saturdays are starting to fill up quite quickly. Don’t forget I’m still honouring my loyalty cards scheme. After your 3rd repeat treatment you will receive a loyalty card that on your 11th repeat treatment you will receive a 50% discount.

Good morning Beauty Spotters

As of today 1 June 2016 I am officially back from maternity leave and can’t wait to get started and see all of you. I’ve missed you and am excited for you to meet Declan. YAY

Thank you to all who supported me while I was on leave with Annique and Avon sales, I hope it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience and I will be around to see for your next collections or deliveries.

It’s been a big adjustment settling into mommy hood but I’m loving every minute, and Declan is such a blessing and good most of the time 😉 . I mean for 8 weeks old he’s doing an awesome job. Unfortunately this little angel is going to impact my salon hours and as I’m breast feeding him I need to work around his feeding times and allow for days when he’s more hungry, growing or heaven forbid not well.

So PLEASE take note of my new working hours and there will always some leeway but will be day specific and I can’t change anything until that day when I know what’s going with Declan and myself.

Benoni salon will be open Monday, Thursday and Friday for which I have a 09:30, 12:00 and 14:30 slot for a 45min-60min appointment.

Benoni salon will be open most Saturdays From 09:00 -12:00.

Unfortunately I won’t be making forward appointments at the moment just until Declan is settled into a routine and I know how the week is for him.

Alberton salon will be open Tuesdays also 09:30, 12:00 and 15:00 appointment slots

Treatment prices will remain the same for the month of June and will increase on 1 July 2016

Annique Rooibos products will also be increasing on 1 July 2016 so please make sure you get stock before then.

Ro’s Beauty Spot Salon News and Avon Specials – May 2016

Good morning Beauty Spotters

I trust you are well and keeping warm today? I think we can’t deny winter is on its way, but I’m glad that we still having some very nice days. Thank you so much for all the support and messages over the last few weeks I really do appreciate them.

I am hoping to return to work in the next few weeks, I will communicate closer to the date as I’m currently living week to week at the moment. Please keep an eye out for the email.

Unfortunately my working hours are going to change for the next few months. Especially now that winter is nearly here I can’t have Declan out too late in the afternoons. I do plan on then working more Saturdays to accommodate my late weekly appointments and will try make sure I see everyone even for the necessities (waxing, tinting, mini facials and pedicures)

My treatment prices will remain the same for the first month I return to work and will increase in 1 July 2016, but I will be charging normal price for treatments when I return, so please check current price list for your treatments.

Ro’s Beauty Spot Salon News and Avon Specials – April 2016

Good Day Beauty Spotters

Hope you are well and keeping warm? It’s started to chilly over the last few days and I think the winter is on its way.

I’m very proud to announce that Declan has arrived. He was born on Thursday 31 March via Caesarean and weighed in at a beautiful 3.6 KG. it went really well and I’m starting to recover and find my feet again. The last week has been a big  adjustment but I’m loving every min.

Thank you all for the wonderful messages and thoughts and check-ups on me and Declan it means the world and I can’t wait for you all to meet him.

So I’m not sure now when I will be back at work, hoping mid-May, will see how recovery goes and when I have my 6 week check-up what doctor says. But I will keep everyone posted.

Will still be doing Annique and Avon and currently Annique have awesome specials running this month. So please don’t miss out and get your orders in early, I feel that stock will soon sell out.

Good day Beauty Spotters

I’m so terribly sorry that my email is coming to you so late this month. My internet line has been down for over a week now and I’ve been unable to send emails or do any internet related work. But I’m back and online and hope you are well?

Baby Declan hasn’t arrived yet, I will let everyone know when he does make an appearance. For now I’m trying to get some rest. I really want to say thank you for the love and gifts and spoils you have given this little boy. I’m so grateful and can’t wait to show him off in all his little outfits or use his personalised gifts given. Thank you and much love from us.

As you know I’m now closed in both the Alberton and Benoni salons until further notice, as I’m on maternity leave. I will keep everyone posted as to when I will back in action, it all depends on when Declan arrives, what birthing process I can go with and how long it takes me to get into a routine to work again. I will return asap on a part time basis to help with waxing and tinting to start off with and will then work my way back to a reasonable working day as we Declan gets more settled and I can manage physically.

But for the meantime I’ve asked a good friend of mine Leanne to help with any clients who would like to use her for the time being. She will do her best to help and accommodate but also has her own home based salon so please be patient and accommodating towards her when making appointments

Good  morning Beauty Spotters

Wow so we one month down of 2016 and I have 9 Weeks Max until Declan arrives. I’m just so excited and I can’t believe how quickly the time is going! I trust your January was a good and blessed one and that 2016 is starting off on the right foot and showing some potential.

For those of you I have not seen yet this year I have only 4 ½ weeks left of work before I close my salon for maternity leave. This means Friday 4 March 2016 will be my last working day. We did see the doctor yesterday and he has instructed me that from 34 weeks I do need to start taking it easy and not over exert myself(I should be doing it already L), as I would like to carry this baby for as long as I can and give natural birth, I need to have as little stress and impact on my body as possible.  Doctor says  Declan is going to be a big baby boy so my body is going to need to rest as much as possible.

I need to do what’s best for my baby and body in the upcoming weeks and in order for me to be able to work for up to 36 weeks I need to concentrate on necessities and treatments that you must have before I close, so waxing and tinting mostly.

From Monday 22 February I will only be concentrating on these 2 treatments so that my day is not a straight 8 hour working day and that I can rest in between clients and offer my good service for those last 2 weeks. Please be patient with me and I will do my best to as effective as possible

Thus I’m sorry in advance if I need to downgrade your treatment to either tinting or waxing in those last 2 weeks. But I will communicate with you personally to make a plan if need be. I wish and hope to be able to do as much as I can but I also need to keep my baby and body in mind. I thank you for your support and understanding during this time.

Please also note that I am already fully booked for the my week being 29 February-4 March, the best I do is offer a cancellation slot at this time.

Then as so many of you have asked “when will I be back!” I haven’t decided and I need to see how our baby is and what kind of birthing I can do in order to have a healthy recovery and be in a good mental state before I return. I really hope it won’t be too long and I will be working more Saturdays in order to accommodate the later evening appointments I used to have in the week. I won’t be able to stay in Benoni too late into the evening in the beginning so will work around Saturdays to help. I will also be returning on a part time basis in the beginning until I settle in with baby routine and a routine for myself. But I will be communicating via WhatsApp or email on this regard.

I have been keeping an eye out for potential help and referrals for you to use while I’m away and I have 2 salons that you can use in the meantime while I’m off. I hope they will welcome you in and make you feel comfortable while I’m away and that when I return I can then continue to help you and see you in my salon. I will be sending their info as soon as I have it all that you can make a choice of whom to go to.

For all my Avon and Annique clients please do not worry I will still be doing sales for both these product houses while I’m off, I will just be doing specific order dates and delivery dates so that I can be there when you need to collect.

I have also been in touch with a new supplier of the Yellow Body sponges and have some in stock on special this month for only R40. Normally R50. If you need to get one just give me a shout, they are on offer while stocks last.

Also the foot files that I use in my pedicures will be available to purchase at R50 so that you continue to have soft feet while I’m away

Ro’s Beauty Spot January 2016 News and Product Specials

Good day Beauty Spotters

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and you Families a very Happy New Year. May 2016 be your year, and that its good, memorable and full of opportunities that make you stronger, happier and more successful.

This year is going to be a year of very big change for me and lots of things are going to be happening. For starters I have only 8 weeks of time in the Benoni and Alberton salon before I go on maternity leave. I will then have a few weeks to prepare for the birth of my first baby, but I will still be around for product sales and communication so I would love to stay in touch and keep everyone informed on the goings on in my life, and to hear all about the events in your lives too.

If all goes according to plan I would like to stop working on Friday 4 March 2016 and I will return to work as soon as I can for necessities. I will unfortunately being working part time(a few, if that hours a day) when I return to work after Declan is born and will communicate with everyone when this will happen. Please make sure that I have your current email address and cell phone number so I can message everyone when I do return.

I promise it won’t be too long.

As I reflect on 2015, I feel it was a good year both personally and professionally and the salon had its best year to date. Thank you to everyone for helping me have a successful salon. I will never forget it.

I started the year off with having no goals but rather to have a reflection year that by December 2015 I could look back and see what I did achieve just by making the effort and saying yes to more opportunities. These are a few of the things I did in 2015:

I started selling Avon in the salon and I can’t believe what a wonderful, positive response I’ve had.

I bought a new car, the car of my dreams and I’ve been so happy driving her.

I made new friends and spent time growing old ones so I have a wonderful support going into my new chapter of mommy hood.

I started being more active and healthy and in some small way I’m sure it helped with the soon to be growth of my family.

I went on holiday for my 30th and had an amazing 5 year wedding anniversary trip to Mauritius.

I made more time to market and speak to people about the products I sell and I’ve had such wonderful support with the products I sell, I hope those that have tried either Annique or Avon have been happy with advice and products I’ve sold you.

My list of achievements can go on forever but I won’t bore you.

Please just know that with the changes coming in 2016 I will try my best not to neglect anyone of you, and will continue to offer my personal effort that I always have into my job, it may just take a little longer for me to reply but I will. Please just be patient with me. I have no idea what the next few months will hold and I’m told babies have a plan of their own so I put my faith in the Lord and allow him to be in charge.

In order to offer this service and personal care I need to at times ask for some assistance and understanding. I will need to stop doing full pedicures and long standing appointments esp. back to back treatments in order to rest and recharge. My feet are the worst for me at the moment and do battle to stand or walk for the entire day, with my feet getting extremely sore.

By the last week of work I would just like to be doing necessity treatments so waxing, tinting, soak offs for nails and product sales.

But for now I will do my best to offer everything I can.

I will no longer be selling gift vouchers or well until I return after maternity leave, if you wish to spoil someone please let them book a treatment before I do finish work in March and pay for it.

Onto everyone’s favourite news: there will be no treatment price increase until I return from maternity leave, so treatments prices will remain the same as per the treatment menu attached.

Annique have the most amazing specials for January so please make sure you get your goodies. The Liquid Skin Nutrition will be discontinued when stock is finished but will be relaunching ONLY IN MAY 2016. So please if you use this product stock up on a few bottles to carry you through.

Ro’s Beauty Spot December 2015 News and Product Specials

Good morning Beauty Spotters

How awesome is it to know the festive season is just around the corner. I’m looking forward to a few days off to rest and I hope those of you who get to have some time off are going to rest and hopefully even have a holiday away.

For those of you not sure of my working times for December and January Please take Note: I’m closing the salon for treatments on Saturday 19 December 2015 and will reopen on Monday 11 January 2016. I will still be available for product sales and collections during the time I’m closed but please understand that I won’t be in Benoni all the time, so we can arrange collection should you need it.

So as most of you know I’m now 22 weeks pregnant, time is just going so quickly. If I haven’t seen you to tell you, we are having a little boy, whose name is going to be Declan Alexander Cuthbert.

I will be closing first week of March for maternity leave and will be off for some time. I’m not entirely sure when I will be coming back to work, it will be part time in the beginning for waxing and tinting and mini facials and mini pedicures but will be on a day to day notification until Declan is in a routine and I can manage more planning.

Please don’t feel discouraged I will be available via WhatsApp and sms or email to communicate with you and if you are desperate for a quick wax or product sales I will make myself available but please let’s work together.

December is pretty much fully booked for treatments in Benoni but January bookings have opened so let’s get you in for a treatment as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
