With a dawn of a new month 2012 has definitely started off busy! Well at least February will have 1 extra day so maybe we can try get a few more things done!

I trust you have had a good year so far, looking forward to February and that there is plenty of Love in your Air?

For me February is a month of realization, where I can actually set goals and start focusing on them.

For those who have seen me this year I’ve been speaking a bit about working a little less.

I do apologise if I seem to be repeating myself and it’s not meant to upset anyone, but I feel I need to reiterate things a few times for everyone to catch up! I am not cutting down my hours to hurt anyone but its something I need to do!

I will be cutting down some of my hours-namely those on Saturdays. I am now going to be taking off 2 Saturdays a month in order to fill my Saturdays that I do work and are open.

Please NOTE:

This means that I have limited space on a Saturday and if by any chance you do need to cancel your appointment, I may not be able to able you the following Saturday, which means you may need to wait a few weeks in order to get another Saturday appointment!

Also this means that you need to book well in advance for a Saturday.

From 1 March 2012, Voucher redemptions will no longer be accepted on a Saturday either.

I apologise if this causes any inconvenience and I hope you understand.

Then as of 1 April 2012 the price of Annique Products will be increasing, it’s usually between 7 and 10% and its not always on all the products, but I will be sending out the new pricelist as soon as I receive it.
In September 2011 I changed over to the Depiléve Wax system for legs and arm waxing. I have also started selling their Intimate Folisan – a roll on gel that works wonders with ingrown hairs in the bikini and under arm area.

I have received great comments and happy results. The 10ml roll-on gel is R60 and needs only to be used until the hairs have started to push through the skin. As soon as the hair has appeared through the skin, stop usage until after your next wax. So use will be between 10 and 12 days.

Please enquire about the product when you visit.

Also another fantastic product for Ingrown hairs is the Annique Body Wonder Sponge.

This hygienic rough body sponge helps remove dead skin build up, increase blood circulation and helps lift the ingrown hairs trapped under the skin.

To be used a daily basis, a day or 2 after waxing, when the skin has calmed down.

Cost is R29.

PLEASE remember that the sponge does not last forever and needs to be replaced every 4 to 6 Months

Then The Annique ResQue Cream is also a great comfort and healing product for ingrown hairs. Its helps reduce inflammation, sensitivity after waxing and promotes healing. It needs to be applied to infected areas as often as possible.

Comes in a Sample size, to keep handy in your bag or at work and are R2 each

Or The ResQue Cream comes in a 60ml tube at R95.

Annique’s ResQue cream can be used for a number of skin issues such as Eczema, dry skin, sun burn, rashes, grazes, scaring and cracked heels.

Hello everyone

So here’s washing you and your family a Happy New Year. I hope that 2012 will only  be special and blessed to you.

For those that went away I really hope you had a wonderful holiday, that you got  some rest and relaxation in and that you’re ready to face 2012.

For those who didn’t take leave I hope the office was quiet and chilled and that you  enjoyed the public holidays in between.

So 2012 is going to be a good year I know it and believe it and with that I have made a  few changes to my Salon hours.

I am going to be cutting down some of my hours, I just worked too hard last year and I was taking strain towards the end, I really hope that you can understand but as you  know me I will still try my best to accommodate everyone! It also comes from a 4  month observation that I have done and found that some days im a lot quieter then  others.

I will now only be working 2 Saturdays a month (when there are 3 Saturdays in a  month), from 08h00 untill 14h00, and I will be posting the Saturdays im closed well  in advance so that you too can plan your life.

Fridays I will b closing at 17h00. Please Note that this means I will be taking my  last appointment before this time(depending on treatment time)

With regards to Annique orders, I am only going to order twice a month, around the  12th and 28th of every month. So Please get your orders in according to these dates.

Otherwise I tend to be ordering small amounts too often and then I end up carrying  too much stock!

I will also be offering a 5% discount on Annique orders greater then R500.

Treatment Prices have increased: Manicures, Pedicures and tinting, so please take note of the prices in the new pricelist attached.

Loyalty Cards – please make sure that you bring them with to every regular treatment that you have or every other treatment in which you spend  more than R200.

And don’t forget the Christmas Vouchers given out in  December – bring them in January.

Loyalty Card Terms and Conditions

  1. Loyalty cards are given after 3 consecutive appointments of the same treatment(s)
  2. Circles are coloured in after every regular appointment Eg if you come for an eyebrow and lip wax every month I will colour in 1 circle, or if you come for a facial, pedicure and brow wax every 6 weeks then 1 circle will be coloured in
  3. If you come for an add on treatment every so often with your regular treatment then you will need to spend R200 or more in order to get another circle coloured in.
  4. On your 10th regular appointment I will offer your 11th treatment discount-either on your normal appointment or if you wish to have the discount on any other treatment
  5. A new loyalty card will be issued on your next appointment after your discounted appointment.
  6. Cards may not be shared or the discount be given to another person or exchanged for cash
  7. 50% Discount needs to be used on the 11th treatment.

Loyalty Card Now Available

So it is finally here. Ro’s Beauty Spot is proud to give my loyal and special clients a little something to say thank you for all your support.

When you visit my salon from December 2011, as a loyal and regular client to the salon, you will receive your Loyalty Card with the terms and conditions.

Please make sure you read them and understand them. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Also remember I will only be filling in a circle if you have your loyalty card with you so please make sure you bring them with when you come for your treatments.

Whats Happening at the Spot

I cannot believe it has been two years since I have been on my own. I am so happy and grateful that I have done and have such awesome clients who have helped me make my business a success!

Please note that there are no treatment specials for December 2011, but great Annique Specials on offer. So don’t forget to have a look to see what is available.

I have very limited appointments left between now and the day I close on the 23rd of December 2011. I really want to be able to help everyone so please if you have not yet booked please do so and I hope that I can help.

Ro’s Beauty Spot will reopen on Monday the 9th of January 2012. I already have my appointment book ready and waiting. Some people have already started booking for the new year so don’t get left behind.

If I don’t get to see you this December please have a safe, blessed and Festive Season. I wish you all the very best for 2012 and hope to see you and share the next 12 months with you and your families.

November News Update

Good day

Seems like just yesterday I was sending out Octobers news and now it is already November! Things are definitely starting to heat up and I don’t just mean the weather.

Please note I will be repeating a lot of Octobers’ news this month as I don’t want you to miss out on anything important.

My last working day is 23 December and I will be closing up at 16h00. I know it is difficult to start planning for December already, but I would appreciate it you could try – even if it’s a tentative appointment – lets book you in so you can have pretty toes, waxed bodies and hydrated skins before you go on holiday!

I have decided to work on Friday 16 December and NOT Saturday 17 December. So I will be open from 09h00 to 13h00 on Friday 16 December 2011.

I will be reopening on Monday 9 January and 09h00 and I am already taking appointments for January 2012. I am trying to keep everyone on their normal gap appointments but some appointments may be stretched a few days to accommodate the time the salon is closed.

Loyalty cards will start being issued from 1 December so please look out for yours.

Terms of the Loyalty Cards:

  1. Will be given on your forth regular appointment
  2. You will need to collect 10 stamps on regular treatments before you qualify for a 50% discount on your 11th treatment
  3. 50% discount cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another customer
  4. 50% discount needs to be used on a single visit to the salon.

I had a record month in October and wish to thank everyone for helping me achieve mu dream in having my own special salon that I hope you enjoy coming to and feel comfortable in.

I wish you a very good, happy and safe November, Santa is coming and I hope you have all been good!

News from the Beauty Spot October 2011

So October marks the last few months of 2011 and I hope the goals you set in January are all complete and that you are getting ready to set new ones for 2012.

My goal this year was to reach 100 people coming to my salon; including new, regular and once off.

I have been so busy I didn’t realize I had reached this goal! Looking back at client cards and my very sad worn out diary I worked out that I have in fact reached my goal and its all thanks to you.

My goal for 2012 will be to give something back to all my amazing clients who have shared in the growth of my salon; the chilly winter days, the scorching summer afternoons; all those who shared good laughs and a few tears with me!

I am going to be launching a loyalty membership card. It’s just a little way of saying thank you for all your support. I offer excellent treatments at great prices but sometimes I still cannot say thank you enough.

It will work as follows:

For every regular treatment you come for you will get a stamp; for example if you have a pedicure, facial or wax every month. For every other treatment you may have on a more irregular basis you will need to spend more than R200 to get a stamp.

Once you have collected 10 stamps you will get your 11th regular treatment at 50% of the price. This cannot be redeemed for cash or given to another person.

I will then also run specials that if you have a certain treatment in that month (even though its less than R200) you will still receive a stamp for booking that treatment.

Next on the agenda:

Please Please Please start organizing your appointments for the next 3 months. I am already taking appointments all the way up to Christmas and I do not want to have to turn you away due to being fully booked.

I will be working until 16h00 on Friday 23 December 2011 and will reopen on Monday 9 January 2012.

I will also be closed on Friday 16 December but will be open on Saturday 17 December 2012 from 08h00 to 13h00.

Notices:

Annique prices will be going up again on 1 November 2011.

Some Reminders

  1. Please be considerate if you know you will not make your appointment and cancel within 24-48 hours of your appointment time. This allows me to offer your appointment to someone else. If you miss your appointment or cancel too late I will be charging 50% of your missed treatment onto your next treatment price.
  2. I operate on a Cash and EFT basis
  3. If you are running late, I will try and accommodate you as much as possible but if I do have an appointment after yours, your treatment time will be shortened and you will be charged the full price.
  4. Please pay for and collect your Annique stock within the month you order it.

 

September 2011 Newsletter Edition 13

Good Day

Well its definitely good to feel that spring has arrived! I am sure we will still have another cold spell or two, but I think we can manage that knowing that the worst is over.

I am sad to hear about all the horrible things going on in the world, my prayers are with those having troubled times. May the Lord keep you strong and hold your hand through this time.

Thank you to all who came to visit me during August. It was nice to meet some new people and share some good times with those who are part of my “furniture” J I appreciate you all!

Seeing as though spring is here I believe its time to dust off those winter coats and get ready for the new!

Annique have launched their summer gift range, so those planning Christmas presents a little early this year, now is the time to take advantage of these great products.

I wish to take this opportunity to welcome all the new additions to my client family – ie those who have had babies over the past few months, I wish you all the best of health and fun times ahead with your children.

On a more serious note…

Please remember that I will always try and help out those running late for appointments or those who may have forgotten their appointments, but I can only allocate so much extra time between clients and if I end up having to turn you away I do apologise but I am also trying to run a business. Cancellations need to be made 24 hrs in advance or I will be charging a 50% cancellation fee onto your next appointment.

With regards to Annique orders, I do allow for payments to be made at the end of the month, but will also keep your products until payment is made unless otherwise discussed so you can still order your favourite products or try new ones.

August 2011 Newsletter Edition 12

Hello All

So who’s hoping for snow? It is nearly the end of the winter with officially  one month to go. Not sure if I will survive much more cold!

I am definately looking forward to summer, and hope it’s a warm beautiful one!

Thank you for the overwhelming support this July. I apologise if I couldn’t help you with an appointment and I hope to see you this August.

I had a wonderful week off-Dullstroom is really a beautiful little town with amazing friendly and good food!

August we know is Women’s month – I think every month should be! And so I think a little spoiling should be done either for ourselves
or the women we know! And with this weather a shared coffee and muffin is always a good idea!

So a few questions have popped with regards to my new gel treatment prices. And this is how it will work:

A fill costs me a little more time and energy
– but not necessarily product than an overlay
but I will adjust pricing depending on the type
of fill (ie French, clear or colour).
I will discuss with you when you book your fill.

Gel overlays on toes: the fill will also be adjusted depending on the overlay (ie french, clear or colour) and if you wish to add a Pedicure to your fill – not always necessary, it will be R100 extra.

Repairs will only be charged if the break happens 3 or more days after the initial overlay, or if 3 or more breaks have occurred. If you are having a fill I will not charge for repairs or tips if only 1 or 2 nails need it. More than 2 will be charged for.

Hope this clears up any of the questions you may have. Please talk to me if you are unhappy or have any problems or concerns and I will try my best to help accommodate you as much as I can!

What’s New for July

Hello Everyone

Wow. It has definitely been cold winter of late. I cannot believe how many cold fronts we have had and that I haven’t frozen in my sleep is a miracle. The good thing is that the days are now going to get longer so there will be more minutes of sunlight which hopefully means bit more warmth.

I must thank you for all your support during the month of June; it was great seeing some old faces back in the salon and some new!

I have made some changes and update my price list so please take note of this. Save the pricelist somewhere handy so that the information is always close at hand.

I have added a teen facial to the list. It’s a 30-45 minute facial (depending on the amount of blackhead and whitehead removal) and can be a great chance to introduce teens to the world of skincare. I will also provide easy to understand home care advice.

I have also changed my massage and body treatments to offer a little more service and something special. The 30 minute Back, Neck and Shoulder massage is now a 45 minute treatment and includes a back exfoliation and head and scalp massage.

I also offer a Men’s Back and Neck Massage which is 30 minutes and does not include the exfoliation or head and scalp massage.

My Bio-Sculpture gel treatments have also changed. I have been getting requests for colour gel and nail paint over the gel, so I am now offering this option. Please note that my colour gel stock is limited at the moment but I will be increasing my colour stock over time. At the moment I am stocking Red, Black, Brown and a Pearly White.

Please also remember that the Hand and Foot Add on Treatments can be added to any treatment  you have, or can be done between treatments as a something extra.

PLEASE NOTE: I will be away from the 6th-13th July, so the Salon will be closed from the Wednesday the 6th to Wednesday the  13th and will reopen on the 14th of July.

Please also note that I will be available via SMS and email but no phone calls as the reception I will have is not the best.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but I will be back within no time, eager, rested and ready for your treatments for the rest of July!

On a really good note, I would like to wish all my clients who are having babies all the best of luck and congratulations!

What can I do differently for my skin this Winter

Winter is harsh, and often, destructive time for our skins and bodies. There is more bacteria, illness and extreme weather changes, which all have a negative impact on our skins.

We should all increase our vitamin supplement intake to increase our immune systems. Our skins also take an effect, often because we drink less water.

  • Now is the time to add a little something to help keep your skin feeling beautiful.
  • One should exfoliate 2-3 times a week if you currently exfoliating once, especially where skin is dry and flaky.
  • Masking can be changed to a moisturizing/hydrating one to help nourish the skin and can also be increased to 2-3 times a week.
  • Your day/night cream can be changed to a more hydrating and nourishing one.
  • A Vitamin E or Tissue Oil can be applied over your night cream to give you extra nourishment and hydration.
  • Foundation can be changed to a lighter tone to compensate for the lighter complexion one often gets in winter
  • Ampoules can be added on a 3-4 week basis to lighten and brighten the skin
  • Paraffin wax treatments can be done more often to nourish hands, feet, or even the face
  • Annique’s Skin Detox can be applied before your day and night cream to hydrate, fight free radicals, prevent black and white heads and providing a healthy glow
  • Annique’s Revitalising cream can also be used before your day or night cream to add extra nourishment, rejuvenate and plump out sagging skin.
