I hope 2013 has started off great and that you, if you were on leave had a wonderful time, and if you worked that the days went quickly and business was good?

So this year is a year of good things to come, I have set some new year’s resolutions and that I will be putting them up on my notice board as a daily reminder to keep at them. One of them is cut down my hours a little bit, so that I can concentrate on filling the days better and also allowing some off time for me.

So please make sure that you take note of my new working hours:

Monday: 09h00-18h00

Tuesdays: CLOSED

Wednesday: 12h00-18h00

Thursday: 09h00-18h00

Friday: 11h00-17h00

Saturday: 08h00-14h00 (every 3rd Saturday CLOSED)

These dates and times are effective from 10 January 2013

My Saturdays that I will be closed until end February are:

Saturday 26 January

Saturday 16 February

So please make sure you book in advance as my time is now very limited.

As most of you saw in December I’m now starting to stock more Annique Products and display the in the Salon, I will try and stock the most popularly sold/bought items and some great gifting ideas too. This will allow you to buy when you visit me, so if you are keen to try this amazing product that’s unique to South African Skin, then Annique is now at your fingertips.

I do still offer a sample kit for Annique Beginners and will display some sample products too so make sure to have a look next time you visit. They are R5 each and contain roughly 2-3 days application for you to experience and try Annique out.

I have been noticing that my news doesn’t always get passed on and im sure not everyone has time to read my actual newsletter. So im not going to be attaching a separate newsletter from now and I will just be doing the news within the email, this means you wont miss out on anything or get left behind 🙂

Im sorry that this email comes a few days after the month has already begun, but ive been so busy that I just havent had a moment to get to it. Please take note this month’s email has a few very important notes that will be implemented on the 1st November 2012(new treatment prices) and January 2013(new working hours).

There will be some changes to my treatment menu and a price increase to facials, nails and some waxing treatments. I will also NO longer be offering Full body massages or Reflexology from November 2012.

From January 2013 im going to be cutting down my hours, as im just not getting time to do the personal activities I love, and my poor thumbs have been taking a lot of strain resently and I need to give them a break every so often too. I hope you can understand and these new times will be available in my new pricelist and will be spoken about in your forthcoming treatments too.

Please remember the following Days are the days that I AM CLOSED during October, November and December

I am already nearly fully booked for my Saturday’s up to 15 December so please start planning your appointments so that you are not disappointed.

Then if you’ve been in the Salon or received the new Annique Beaute booklet you will see that Annique have a whole new range for Dry, Dehydrated and Aging skin types. Its Called Lucid and has been specifically formulated to help these conditions.

The New Lucid range will be replacing old and existing products which will be discontinued from 1 October. Maybe they will have a few last minute sale on old stock but I will let you know if they do.

Please take note of the following changes:

• The Cleanser For Dry Skin(200ml) will be replaced with the NEW Calming Cleansing Crème(150ml)
• Refining Skin Scrub will be replaced with the NEW Perfecting Cream Exfoliator
• Moisture Masque will be replaced with the NEW Silky Skin Replenisher which is a new emergency overnight treatment
• Moisturiser for Dry skin will be replaced with the NEW Ultimate Moisturiser for Dry Skin
• Hydra3 Will be replaced with New Ultra Hydrating Moisture Lotion
• Crème de Nuit still exists but belongs to the Forever Young range for anti-aging.
• NEW Optimal Night Renewal is a new night cream
• pH Balancing Freshner will be replaced by the NEW HydraRestore Freshner

There is Also the ResQue Cream upsize(60ml) on Special this month, it’s a pink tube in support of Breast Cancer Awareness and R5 of every tube sold goes to the CANSA foundation. So buy yours this month.

Hey everyone

I’m so sorry that I haven’t sent out a decent news letter in a while but I hope this one makes up for it.

I can’t believe what beautiful weather we’ve been having and that it’s still so beautiful outside. Let’s hope we can have a few more days of it before the cold sets in!

So its mothers month and wow have there been a few new moms in my salon. Definitely was something in the spring winds last year 🙂

For those of you who have met my mom, she often helps with product delivery, entertaining clients while i’m still busy and helping in the background. Her name is Denise and I’m so very grateful to have her. Thank you for being easy on her, patient and helpful especially when booking treatments is involved. She often just takes the initiative and is not always 100% sure but she does a great job.

I think 2012 is definitely a Moms year and so I wish all my moms a Happy Mothers Day and Month, may you be spoilt and appreciated more than normal.

So not much news in the Salon, I have a few Annique Products that are still on Special, so don’t forget to have a look next time you in the salon.

Bio Sculpture Colours are now R40 so don’t miss out on buying some fabulous colours for winter, I have a catalogue and that you can order from, they have over 150 colours and I cannot keep all of them in stock but I can order.
Top coats are also R40 for the Month of May, normal Price R50

I am also continuing to grow my Gel colour stock so if you wish to have gel colour overlay R140 then please don’t be shy to ask what colours I have or if you keen on a specific colour then I can get for you.

GREAT WINTER ADD ON TREATMENTS

I know winter is a time that we wish to keep as much of us covered as possible but don’t forget that we shouldn’t neglect out toes, feet and hands either.

Mini Pedicure and mini Manicure are a great way to keep them soft and still looking good, and at R50 each they can be added to any treatment or done on there own.

Paraffin dip can also be added to any treatment for R40, and includes a scrub, rich cream application and the dip.

PLEASE NOTE:

I have limited space on a Saturday, as i’m not open every Saturday, and if by any chance you do need to cancel your appointment, I may not be able to help you the following Saturday, which means you may need to wait a few weeks in order to get another Saturday appointment!

Also this means that you need to book well in advance for a Saturday.

Voucher redemptions will no longer be accepted on a Saturday either.

I use the Depiléve Wax system for legs and arm waxing and have also started selling their Intimate Folisan – a roll on gel that works wonders with ingrown hairs in the bikini and under arm area.

I have received great comments and happy results.

The 10ml roll-on gel is ON SPECIAL FOR R40 and needs only to be used until the hairs have started to push through the skin (roughly 10 days). As soon as the hair has appeared through the skin, stop usage until after your next wax.

Please enquire about the product when you visit.

For those extra dry and neglected skins, the ANNIQUE Miracle Tissue Oil is a great add on product for winter and any time. It’s a light oil so absorbed so quickly into the skin, leaving it feeling nourished, soft and hydrated. It’s great for uneven skin tone, stretch marks, and scars. It’s an excellent hydration product adding extra nourishment and moisture to the skin.

And so Autumn is officially here! I hope that you are making the most the beautiful evenings and gorgeous mornings that we’ve been having as soon the icy blue skies will be here.

Now is a time to start increasing that vitamin C and anti-oxidant intake to keep the bugs away. Remember green tea is one of the highest natural sources for anti-oxidants. Guavas, sweet red peppers and kiwis are high in Vitamin C.

Thank you for all who have been accommodating with my hours that have changed. It seems to be filling up the Saturdays I am open and the evenings too. Please just remember that Saturdays are now becoming fuller a lot sooner, so if you do need a Saturday appointment book way in advance.

I do only offer Bio-Sculpture gel as an artificial nail enhancement system. I do not unfortunately do acrylic or silk. Bio-Sculpture offer a whole lot of other products besides gel so it’s more versatile for me.

They do nail varnishes, base coats, top coats, files, toe separators and much more. If you wish to see there full catalogue just ask when you next visit, as they have great gifting ideas too.

For those that have been for a facial with me, you know I use a machine called high frequency during the treatment. I just wish to talk a little bit more about it, so that you can be more aware of the effects, and reasons I use it.

High frequency has been around in the health industry for over 30 years, and was first used in the hair dressing field to treat scalp disorders.

The current of the high frequency machine moves a rate of 100,000 and 250,000 vibrations per second over the surface of the skin, thus the tingling sensation that is sometimes experienced during the treatment.

The Effects of High Frequency:

• Warms and relaxes facial tissue
• Improves skin texture and moisture balance
• Calms sensory nerves
• Produces ozone: anti-bacterial and germicidal removing the impurities on the skin
• Due to the stimulation of the fine nerve endings, an astringent effect occurs, reduces pore size and the appearance of fine lines.
• Improvement of circulation and thus the lymphatic system, reducing toxin and waste accumulation which in turn can reduce puffy, sluggish areas of the skin
• Due to increase of circulation product absorption is increased.

Reasons for High Frequency:

• Reduces oil and congestion on/in the skin
• Aids healing of the skin
• Destroys bacteria
• Stimulates rebalancing of the moisture levels
• Reduces inflammation and sluggish looking skin
• Gives the skin a radiant, clear and toned appearance

I also use the machine as it’s safe and effective with the Annique Products

I use the machine in all of my facials, except the Pressed Rose Facial in which I use my DermaLift machine, so if you haven’t already experienced it, Come give a try.
