Beauty Spot Newsletter October 2013

Hey everyone

Yes it’s that time of the month again…news and specials update. September was an amazing month in the Salon, glad to see everyone is ready for summer…Plenty of Pedicures and waxing were done. J

As I’m sure you are aware October is Breast Cancer Awareness month…so let’s try paint the town pink…if you are having a pedicure or manicure…lets add something pink to it..to show our support.

During the month of October, Annique will be supporting breast cancer awareness by donating R5 from every Annique Resque Crème Upsize 100ml sold, to the Look Good…Feel Better Foundation programme, directed by the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association of South Africa (CTFA). LGFB provides free beauty workshops through a network of hospitals, oncology clinics and homes assisting women with cancer to manage appearance related side-effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, restoring their appearance and self-image. Do your bit in awareness of cancer and support this worthy cause this month by buying Resque Creme Upsize 100ml! To find out more visit the Look Good… Feel Better Foundation website at www.lookgoodfeelbetter.co.za.

So please if you have used the ResQue Cream or are new to Annique Products. This is an amazing skin emergency cream to start you off.

Also please note that Annique Prices have gone up as of 1 October, but as per usual I’ll be giving you that little 5% discount on any purchases over R250, so you won’t feel the pinch this month. I have not as yet received the PDF of the new pricelist but as soon as I do I will send it out. Some products have remained the same, some have increased R5-R10 on average.

In September I mentioned that I will be closing on Friday 20 December 2013 for the year… I have 4×1 hour appointments left for that week…so don’t forget to book (appointments For December will only be booked for clients who have been 3 or more times this year)

Beauty Spot Newsletter June 2013

Good day Beauty Spotters,

For the first time in I don’t know how many years I’m not really excited about June… normally I am, it’s my birthday month, so I’m always busy planning something for the friends and family. This year I’m starting to realize I’m getting older and so not so excited about the next month to come. Maybe that will change 😉

Anyway I hope you are ready for June as winter is here and although we’ve had pretty good weather up until now, I know it won’t last much longer.

Ro’s Jewellery collection started in May, and I’d love to thank you for your support in making it another success at Ro’s Beauty Spot. I’ve already planned my next order so should be here mid-end June, with more colours and styles for you to choose from. I really hope those that have purchased a bracelet… or 2 are loving them and receiving plenty of compliments on them.

If you wish to join my Facebook page regarding the jewellery please follow this link – Ro’s Jewellery Collection FACEBOOK. I will be adding new pictures, have giveaways, and ask for recommendations on new products.

Some Winter Advice

So we all know winter is a harsh and stressful time, especially on our bodies.

I hope that you have all increased your vitamin C and Zinc intake to help fight infections. And that you are applying your moisturiser more often, up to 5 times a day, to keep your skin hydrated, nourished and protected against the harsh dry air and cold weather. And last but not least drinking plenty of Rooibos tea to help remove toxins, fight free radicals and keep you hydrated from inside. Rooibos tea also helps fight infections so can help build up your resistance to colds and flu. Drink up to 6 cups a day to stay healthy.

Also winter is a great time to give your feet a chance to repair and give them extra nourishment after being in open shoes all summer. Some GREAT tips for winter feet care:

  • Remove all polish and give toe nails a good buff
  • Cut and keep nails short to prevent damage to the nail and ridges from closed shoes
  • Feed and nourish the cuticles with cuticle oil
  • Scrub feet twice a week to remove dead skin build up, from being in closed shoes, and increase
blood flow to the feet, helping them stay warm during the cold
  • Apply a good heel balm and even tissue oil to the feet twice a day to nourish and feed them
  • Foot file weekly to help remove any hard skin build up

Ro’s Beauty spot is running some winter specials so don’t miss out:

Please if you can let me know of any changes of contact information, id really appreciate it, I often get undelivered emails, or unsuccessful sms deliveries, so if you wish to receive my emails always make sure I have the correct information.

I still have a few people unsure of my working new hours so check them out, please note that if you used to visit me after 18h00, I am not no longer going to be able to help you. I apologise for any inconvenience but it’s for personal matters that I will no longer be taking clients at 18h00.

Monday: 09h00-18h00
Tuesday: Closed (unless otherwise stated)
Wednesday: 12h00-18h00
Thursday: 09h00-18h00
Friday: 11h00-17h00
Saturday: 08h00-14h00 (every 3rd Saturday I will be closed)

With the change of Season into Winter, the air does start to dry out, so make sure you increase your skins hydration levels, especially at night. Opt for a richer, more hydrating night cream or a treatment to help nourish, and feed your skins. Also don’t forget sunburn and sun damage will still occur during winter. If you are not happy with the condition of your skin, or feel you need a little extra, please chat to me and let me help you and your skin.

Beauty Spot Newsletter March 2013

Good Day Beauty Spotter

Having a good week I hope and being positive about life?

For those of you using the Annique Range, please note that the products annual price increase will take effect from 1 April 2013. I have attached both the current pricelist, valid until 31 March 2013, and the new one, effective from 1 April 2013 for you to view and compare.

I’m really sorry that I haven’t had any Treatment Specials, but my days are so busy already, that I’m scared if I offer specials I won’t be able to help those that want to book for them.

I will be running an in house Special of an extra 10% discount on your Annique Rooibos Purchase(over the value of R300) in March 2013, not applicable to Stock sale items. So make sure you get your orders in soon.

Please take note of Closed Days in March 2013

Saturday 9 March CLOSED

Tuesday 19 March I will be Open from 13h00-18h00

Thursday 21 March CLOSED

Tuesday 26 March Open 14h00-18h00

Friday 29 March CLOSED

Saturday 30 March CLOSED

Monday 1 April closed

Tuesday 2 April Open 09h00 -18h00.

Please if you wish to Download the Annique March Promotions Please CLICK HERE

Also I had a great question the other day:

How much does a starter kit(cleanser, day and night cream and freshner) cost and how long will it last?

Well a cleanser from Annique is R159 for 150ml, this should last you 4-8 weeks

A day cream is R259 for the dry/mature day cream 50ml and should last 4-6 weeks

A day cream for normal/combination skins is R179, 50ml and also should last 4-6 weeks

A night cream for dry/mature skins is R199 and for normal combination R179 and should last 4-6 weeks

The Freshners are R139 or R129 is you have a more oily skin type

So for a dry/mature skin type a starter pack should cost you R756. In March you will receive a 10% discount so will cost you R680. For a 4-6 weeks life will cost you R24 – R16 per day on your beauty products.

If you have a normal/combination skin type the same pack will cost you R646 with your 10% discount will cost you R581. For a 4-6 weeks life the cost per day is R20.5 – R13.8 for your skincare products.

Kind Regards and love you all

Beauty Spot Newsletter February 2013

Hey Beauty Spotters

So its already February and January was a great month, thank you to everyone for all your support and understanding both personally and professionally. I appreciate you and your visits to my salon. Wow so I havent really had a chance to impletement my new working hours, just been so hectic trying to fit everyone in. But im sure as time goes by I will get there, so please understand when I cant help after hours any longer.

Well as we all know February is the month of love, and I do hope and wish this for all my friends and clients. Relationships are hard work but also love is not meant to be a chore, so go out and find the love you deserve.

With all this heat that we’ve been having I do trust that you are taking hydrating to new levels. Not only with water but creams and moisturisers too, our skins(our biggest organ) also dries out and needs hydrating, and cooling down. Some great cooling tips are:

  • Make a freshner with green tea and cool water(in a spray bottle) and spritz over one’s face during the day. Green tea is a great anti-oxidant so good for the skin too.
  • A cool towel over the neck, wrists and (or if you lucky) feet to keep temperatures down
  • Drink Cool but not freezing cold water. Remember our kidneys also take strain when temperatures of liquids are too hot or too cold, so remember cool is healthier.
  • Eat small meals and eat more often. The larger the meal, the more metabolic heat your body creates breaking down the food. Avoid foods that are high in protein, which increase metabolic heat
  • Wear lightweight, light-coloured cotton clothes. Heat is trapped by synthetic fibres, but cotton absorbs perspiration and its evaporation causes you to feel cooler. The light colours reflect the sun’s radiation

And PLEASE remember to be using your sunblock as often as possible during the day, perspiration causes the product to wipe off so reapplication is a must.

Thank you so much for everyone who’s commented on my new Annique Display cabinet, it really is helping and allowing me to display and move more stock.

Don’t forget the salon is now closed on Tuesdays, but over the next few months we have a couple of public holidays so I will be swopping my Tuesday’s with the public holidays so that im still closed only 1 day during the week. Please note these are the days that will change and that im closed:

Saturday 16 February CLOSED Saturday 9 March CLOSED Tuesday 19 March I will be open from 13h00 until 18h00, Thursday 21 March CLOSED Tuesday 26 March Open from 09h00-1800 Friday 29 March CLOSED Saturday 30 March CLOSED Monday 1 April CLOSED Tuesday 2 April il be open from 09h00-18h00

I wish you all a wonderful February, be inspired, motivated and passionate about everything that you do, and if you not, then don’t do it!

Thanks and see you soon Xxx Rowena

Beauty Spot Newsletter June 2012

Dear Ro’s Beauty Spot Customer

Hope you are doing well? Can you believe we are in June already, soon the longest night will be upon us and then we can look forward to longer days, and hopefully the feeling of a little more time to get things done!

Thank you so much for taking the time to fill in my customer service feedback form, I really do want to hear from you and how you feel about coming to my salon, where I can improve my service and if I can give you a better, more personal experience and more helpful advice.

If you are a regular customer to the salon you will know that I sell Annique too and I’m always try to talk about the new products being launched and focus on some old favourites too. Today I would like to talk about the new Crème de Nuit(night cream for mature, dry skin types) and the Moisture Serum(for anyone), just recently launched in the Annique product list.

The New and improved Crème De Nuit is now a member of the Forver Young group of the Annique Products. It now contains a superior vegetal serum that helps nourish and repair aged and dehydrated skins. This means it helps feeds the skin and keeps it’s hydrated for longer during the day but at the same time fights the signs of aging. It comes in a new packaging and is still going to be one of Annique’s top 15 sellers.

Then launched this month is the new Moisture Serum. It helps boosts hydration in the skin, restoring the skins protection levels against sensitivity, dryness and dehydration. It also contains Rooibos oil and Vitamin E(like Anniques Miracle Tissue Oil) so it locks in moisture, helps repair damaged, uneven skin tones and leaves the skin soft and smooth. This product is part of the Essence Range which means it’s a treatment product, and should be used in conjunction with your day and/or night cream. Please note this is different to the Skin Detox, which helps improve the skins appearance but preventing blocked pores, improving the protection against free radicals.

The Annique Happy Tea is back by popular Demand, but more then likely for a promotional time, so don’t forget to stock up on that either. R39 a box.

Then the Miracle Tissue Oil Lip Therapy has now finished its promotional life but maybe I can get one or two, so if you would like to keep one for future use then let me know.

Last but not least I have made up a really nice Gift Set for someone special, with a Miracle Tissue Lip Therapy, Body Butter, Hand Lotion, Travel Soap and Body Wonder Sponge. I have it on Special For R170, valued at R220.

Treatment Specials

  • Rose Facial with Mini Manicure R200
  • Hand Exfoliation and Paraffin wax dip (add on to ANY treatment) R30
  • Receive 2 Loyalty circles with any treatment of R250 or more

Valid 13 June – 13 July 2012

Days OFF until End July

  • Friday 29 June I am closing at 14h30
  • Saturday 30 June 2012
  • Monday 2 July 2012
  • Saturday 21 July 2012

Just to remind everyone that I do work on a Cash or EFT basis, if you need my banking details please just let me know. Also Saturday appointments are very limited and I’m often booked 1-2 weeks in advance, please be aware of this as I would like help someone else if you do not wish to come or have something on but please try cancel 24 or more in advance so I can let my cancellation list know. I totally understand life does happen and there are some things we cannot change but it works both ways and I wish to help all my clients as soon as I can.

Keep warm and I’m looking forward to seeing you this month.
Love lots Rowena

Beauty Spot Newsletter February 2012

With a dawn of a new month 2012 has definitely started off busy! Well at least February will have 1 extra day so maybe we can try get a few more things done!

I trust you have had a good year so far, looking forward to February and that there is plenty of Love in your Air?

For me February is a month of realization, where I can actually set goals and start focusing on them.

For those who have seen me this year I’ve been speaking a bit about working a little less.

I do apologise if I seem to be repeating myself and it’s not meant to upset anyone, but I feel I need to reiterate things a few times for everyone to catch up! I am not cutting down my hours to hurt anyone but its something I need to do!

I will be cutting down some of my hours-namely those on Saturdays. I am now going to be taking off 2 Saturdays a month in order to fill my Saturdays that I do work and are open.

Please NOTE:

This means that I have limited space on a Saturday and if by any chance you do need to cancel your appointment, I may not be able to able you the following Saturday, which means you may need to wait a few weeks in order to get another Saturday appointment!

Also this means that you need to book well in advance for a Saturday.

From 1 March 2012, Voucher redemptions will no longer be accepted on a Saturday either.

I apologise if this causes any inconvenience and I hope you understand.

Then as of 1 April 2012 the price of Annique Products will be increasing, it’s usually between 7 and 10% and its not always on all the products, but I will be sending out the new pricelist as soon as I receive it.
In September 2011 I changed over to the Depiléve Wax system for legs and arm waxing. I have also started selling their Intimate Folisan – a roll on gel that works wonders with ingrown hairs in the bikini and under arm area.

I have received great comments and happy results. The 10ml roll-on gel is R60 and needs only to be used until the hairs have started to push through the skin. As soon as the hair has appeared through the skin, stop usage until after your next wax. So use will be between 10 and 12 days.

Please enquire about the product when you visit.

Also another fantastic product for Ingrown hairs is the Annique Body Wonder Sponge.

This hygienic rough body sponge helps remove dead skin build up, increase blood circulation and helps lift the ingrown hairs trapped under the skin.

To be used a daily basis, a day or 2 after waxing, when the skin has calmed down.

Cost is R29.

PLEASE remember that the sponge does not last forever and needs to be replaced every 4 to 6 Months

Then The Annique ResQue Cream is also a great comfort and healing product for ingrown hairs. Its helps reduce inflammation, sensitivity after waxing and promotes healing. It needs to be applied to infected areas as often as possible.

Comes in a Sample size, to keep handy in your bag or at work and are R2 each

Or The ResQue Cream comes in a 60ml tube at R95.

Annique’s ResQue cream can be used for a number of skin issues such as Eczema, dry skin, sun burn, rashes, grazes, scaring and cracked heels.

So I wish you all a Love Filled, positively productive February and thank you for all the support and friendship.

See you soon
Rowena
